A. Who uttered the line, “One must require from each one the duty which each one can perform”? What is the real life significance of this line?
The king uttered the line, the real life significant of the line is, if you are a leader of a team you should give your members the duty that they can only do.

B. What is the meaning of “It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others”?
It means it is very difficult to judge our self, because we think that we are already perfect that’s why it is difficult for us to judge our self, but it is very easy for us to judge others because we can think that they are not perfect.

C. What is meant by “Conceited people never hear anything but praises”? Does this kind of people actually suffer from this hearing problem?
Conceited people are people who think that they are perfect. They think that all people around them admire them and praise them. They actually don’t suffer from hearing problems; they just don’t want to hear people criticizing them.

D. What is the irony of the line, “I am drinking so that I may forget”? Could you relate similar line that you hear from people?
The irony of that line is that some adult’s drinks liquor so that they can forget their problems, but this only makes the problem big.

E. Why does the businessman want to become rich? How is the character related to real life people?
The businessman wants to be rich because he wants to buy more stars. In real life people would work for money because the things they want they can buy.
and they are not contented with what they have.

F. What is meant by “There is nothing to understand. Orders are orders”? What is its real life significance?
The meaning of that line is, if we are ordered to do something we should do it without complains and with an open heart to accept it. Like our parents they always want that they are obeyed by us and we don’t have the right to complain to it.

G. How did the Little Prince perceive the character of the lamplighter? Do you agree with him? Why?
He describe the lamplighter as a hardworking person and a person that always follows the rules given to him, without any complains, yes I do agree to how the little prince describe the lamplighter, because the lamplighter is a truly hardworking person and that is a good follower of instructions, and its a good thing that there’s a person thinking of something else beside himself. Everyone should think of others before their self.

H. What truth about adults does the Geographer represent? How does he represent this truth about adults?
The adults are very serious in their life’s they don’t let time pass by. The geographer is so serious on his works.

I. How did the pilot describe planet Earth? How would you describe it?
He describes it as a very over populated planet, because of the people on it. I would describe earth as a place full of unexpected things going on. Things that is very real from reality.

J. The snake describes himself to be more powerful than the finger of the king. He also said that he speaks in riddles because he solves all of them. What made him say these statements?
He is very powerful because he can kill the king with just one bite. And when he talks, he always says it in riddles. Because he loves to confuse people.

K. What truth about life is reflected on chapter 18?
It reflections life to how we follow commands without complains and accepting it with an open heart then the order will be easier to make. Even how hard we try to make our selves perfect we can’t accomplish it. In life we should learn in out mistakes.

A. If you were to organize the 100th Year Anniversary of the Little Prince Publication, What Little Prince-related activities would you organized and why?
I would organize a question and answer activity to know if the readers really understand what they read. I would also organize a play so that they can understand more about the story.

B. What adult quality does the Little Prince have? What child-like quality he has? Would you recommend this book to adults or to children? Why?
Being courteous and kind. He is curios about the planets that he asked question after questions.

C. What life story of the author Antoine de Saint Exupery is related to his novel?
His friendship with a boy named Leon Werth who lives in France hungry and cold. Like the friendship of the little prince and the flower. The way that he cared for his friend is the way that the pilot cared for the little prince.

D. What happened to the Little Prince at the end of the story?
The little prince died because of the poisonous snake.

E. Why didn’t the pilot tell his companions about his true feelings when they finally found him? How is he related to our life when we conceal our true feelings from others?
They just content that he is alive. He told his companions that he is just tired but the truth is that he is sad to what happened to the little prince. We don’t want others to worry about us so we hide our feelings to others.

F. What important message or truth about life can you get from the following lines?
1. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eyes”
“It is only in the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible” Things that are invisible is more beautiful last forever while visible things will just disappear.

2. “I am responsible for what I am tamed”, said the fox
“I am responsible for what I am tamed” If what I learn I must be responsible to apply them in life.

3. “Words are the source of misunderstanding”
“Words are the source of understanding” Words can be also the source of misunderstanding because we say the words that we don’t mean.

4.”What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides its well.”
“What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides it well” We see deserts as nothing; we hear nothing but the silence throbs and gleam. It shows that in every bad thing there is always good.

5. “I thought I was rich with one flower, that was unique in all the world; and all I had was a common rose”.
“I though I was rich with one flower, that was unique in the entire world; and all I have am a common rose” The flower that he took cared of is just a common rose.

6. “If you love a flower that lives in a star, it is sweet to look at the sky at night”.
“If you love a flower that lives in a star, it is sweet to look at the sky at night”. When you look at sky at night it would remind you of your beloved flower.

The people are not frightened on the boa constrictor drawing and they always need to have things to be explained.

B. How did the pilot finally draw the exact sheep wanted by the little prince? What does this tell you?
The pilot finally draws the exact sheep wanted by the little prince by putting the sheep in the box. It tells that being kind to a friend is one good example of being a friend.

C. Why nobody believed the Turkish Astronomer when he talked about asteroid B 612 for the first time? What does this tell you about grownups?
Nobody believes to the Turkish astronomer when he talked about Asteroid B 612 for the first time because he was in Turkish costume. It tells that when a person wears clothes that are not correct, it will be judge by many people.

D. When do adults describe that a house is beautiful? What does this tell you?
Adults describe a house that is beautiful when it is expensive. It tells that if the house is expensive it is beautiful to look at unlike cheap houses.

E. What are BAOBABS? What aspect of life do they reflect?
BAOBAB is a big tree that when cannot be able to get rid of when you attend it very late. I think that the aspect of life they reflect is about, you should be a kind hearted person.

F. How did the little prince react when the pilot replied, “Matter of great consequence”? Why did the little prince react that way?
After the pilot replied, the little prince look at him with his hammer in his hand, his fingers black with engine grease, bending down over an object which seemed to him very ugly. Because he realize that he just talk like a grown up.

G. What is meant by “It is such a secret place, the land of tears”?
It means that there is a one place that anyone does not know because it is a secret place and this place is the land of tears.

H. What aspect of life is reflected by the “volcanoes”?
Volcanic eruptions are like fires in a chimney. It tells that cleaning our problems in our life will help us not to erupt causing with many problems.

I. Who uttered the line, “I must endure the presence of two or three caterpillars if I wish to become acquainted with the butterflies”? What significant message is implied?
The flower uttered the line. The significant message is the flower should be acquainted by the butterflies so that the flower will follow the little prince where ever he goes.

J. “She coughed two to three times in order to put the Little Prince in the wrong”. What is the context behind this line? What characteristic is shown on the statement? How is it seen in real life?
She coughed two or three times. The flower tries her best to solve their problem with the little prince. It seemed to be that the two are fighting.

K. How will you describe the relationship between the Little Prince and flower?
The relationship of the little prince and the flower is so sweet because they love each other even they fight sometimes.
